I offer workshops and speaking engagements for schools, parent groups, organizations, and professional communities who want a deeper, more compassionate understanding of children with complex nervous systems - especially PDA autistic children and those with intense emotional and behavioral needs.
My approach is grounded in nervous-system awareness, trauma-responsive care, and real-world parenting and caregiving experience. I focus on what actually helps, not what looks good on paper.
Topics I’m Often Invited to Speak On
Workshops can be tailored for parents, educators, clinicians, or mixed audiences.
Common topics include:
Understanding PDA through a nervous-system lens
Why traditional behavior strategies don’t work for some children
Reducing demand without reducing expectations
Supporting regulation in high-stress family and school environments
Collaboration between caregivers and schools
Supporting parents and caregivers without shame or blame
Sessions can be offered as:
single workshops
short series
professional development sessions
parent education events
What Makes These Workshops Different
Workshops can be tailored for parents, educators, clinicians, or mixed audiences.
Participants consistently share that they leave feeling:
clearer about why behaviors happen
more compassionate toward themselves and the children they support
equipped with practical, immediately usable strategies
less alone
I don’t offer:
behavior charts or compliance-based tools
one-size-fits-all answers
strategies that ignore nervous-system overwhelm
Format & Logistics
Workshops and speaking engagements are available:
